The Canadian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Honourable Rene Cremonese met with the Minister of Information and Communication Technology and Cyber Security Honourable Supa Mandiwanzira at his office at bank chambers earlier today.
In an interview with ZimOnline News the Ambassador mentioned that his visit was for him to get more understanding of the ministry, its strategies and priorities of the future.
He mentioned that Canada is a highly developed country in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and has a lot to offer to Zimbabwe in that field.
The Ambassador also highlighted on the issue of free, fair and non-violent elections; he added that elections are critical to any country’s development.
Responding to the media the Minister of ICT Honorable Supa. Mandiwanzira has mentioned that Canada is technologically advanced, he also highlighted to the ambassador that there are business opportunities and he emphasized on the famous phrase by the President that, “Zimbabwe is open for business.”
