The Movement for Democratic Change (MDC-A) leader Nelson Chamisa shared the same roof with MDC-T leader Thokozani Khupe as he also came to her rescue after she was negatively chanted by the crowd at the funeral service of Vimbai Tsvangirai-Java.
Addressing mourners at City Sports Centre Adv.Chamisa condemned disrespectful behaviour by the crowd, saying Dr Khupe worked hand in hand with the late Morgan Tsvangirai and MDC-A had to honour her because she was one of the freedom fighters.
“All protocols observed. Here we do not use funerals to political score. Dr Khupe worked with Vimbai .Dr Khupe should be respected as she served our country. If you are not able to tolerate Dr Khupe you are not able to respect me and that we will not tolerate,” said Chamisa.
The Movement for Democratic Change leader Thokozani Khupe was loudly booed by the MDC-A fanatics as they refused to acknowledge her.
Addressing the mourners at Vimbai Tsvangirai-Java the speaker introduced Khupe as a delegate which did not go well with the MDC-A followers who were against the presence of Dr Khupe.
Chamisa warned the ‘Machinja’ family to honour and respect the late Hon.Vimbai Java.
After the Constitutional Court Judgment Dr Khupe challenged MDC-A leader at Harare High Court that she was the rightful President of MDC-A and Adv Chamisa was supposed to step down.
Hon Vimbai Tsvangirai Java was laid to rest at Glen Forest.
