Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) leader Nelson Chamisa has expressed his gratitude to Kwekwe General Hospital medical staff for being faithful to their work as they tried to save the lives of MDC officials who were involved in a car accident, despite the loss of lives.
The accident happened yesterday in Kwekwe, claiming the lives two MDC officials Paul Rukanda and Tafadzwa Mhundwa ,hence Former party’s leader Morgan Tsvangirai’s daughter Vimbai Java escaped death with a whisker together with other unidentified member.
“I’m so thankful to the medical staff at Kwekwe General hospital for their fidelity to duty as they tried to save the lives of the accident victims.Sadly,lives were lost. Without drugs and resources, our hospitals and roads become death traps. Emergency care capacity a must. We’ll fix it,” Chamisa said.
Mrs Tsvangirai- Java who is also Member of Parliament for Glenview South is reportedly admitted at the Avenues clinic in Harare.
Midlands police confirmed the accident and said the crash was as a result of an overtaking error by the driver of a Toyota Mark X which was driving towards Kwekwe.
