Chamisa ready to learn from Mugabe’s mistakes

The Movement for Democratic Change(MDC-A) leader said he expects to visit the former President Robert Mugabe and hopes to acquire knowledge on how to govern the country from him.

Addressing the party’s fanatics on Saturday during a rally in Sakubva held at Chisamba Grounds in Mutare Chamisa said he wished to meet Mugabe and he may learn from his mistakes when he was the President of Zimbabwe and he was happy that Mugabe was endorsing him.

Chamisa was ecstatic Mugabe was in support of him and was ready to pass the country into the hands of the young generation.

“I am humbled Mugabe went publicly to vote for me and to say that he will vote for me. It is an endorsement to say the history is saying we are passing on the baton to the future and I receive the baton,” said Chamisa.

Advocate Chamisa said he would like to meet Mugabe so they could solve their differences and he might improve from the mistakes the former President has done in his rule as the President of Zimbabwe

“It is my wish to visit him and say ‘you played your part and you disagreed in many ways with Tsvangirai’and if he had wronged us, we will forgive him. We need to hear from him, how he sees this, because he knows he made mistakes. But I have to hear from him how he made those mistakes. That is the drive action we are moving and that is the focus we are following” said Chamisa.

Mr Chamisa said he would cause more troubles for the new government if it does not meet him half way his demands.

Mugabe is said to be financially supporting Chamisa so he could win in the upcoming MDC-A Congress on the 24-26th of May.
