Zimbabwean talent search show Dreamstar Zimbabwe will hold its finals on the 13th of October at Harare International Conference Centre.
This year’s edition will be contested by the nation’s top 15 performers under the mentorship of Cindy Munyavi, Trevor Dongo, Leonard Mapfumo and many more. The performers consist of different categories which include dancers, magicians, singers and bands from all over Zimbabwe.
In an interview with the Marketing Executive Officer, Tinashe Kitchen said that, Dreamstar Zimbabwe is established by Jacaranda Culture and Media Corporation in partnership with the China Africa Economic and Culture Exchange Research Centre.
“Our goals are to be the leader in talent search promotion in Zimbabwe, contribute to the development of the arts and culture sector of Zimbabwe while providing the youth with a platform to use their talent for their own personal growth and to continue fostering relations with China through culture exchange.
“The winner will walk away with $3 000 whilst first runner up will get $1 500 and second runner up will get $750 and they will get academic scholarship to China and employment opportunities both locally and abroad, “said Kitchen.
Dreamstar Zimbabwe talent search seeks to empower local talented youths aged between 12 and 40 who are in the arts and culture sector to help them rise from the backstage.
