Fashion Fights Cancer Foundation will be hosting a CanCare Festival on the 27th of April at Burnside in Bulawayo.
A lot of local musicians will be performing on the event and some from South Africa. In an interview with the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Fashion Fights Cancer Foundations Aisha DeBeer, she said the festival will help them to raise funds for the children who are under the age of 18 living with cancer.
“Fashion Fights Cancer is a Zimbabwean foundation which I created last year in August and I’m also the C.E.O of Fashion Designers Expo Zimbabwe. This is our fourth series and I assure you that it’s going to be the most innovative one.
“As for the performing artists, I will have to wait till February so that I will be sure on the number since things are still unstable in the country. Some of them have already confirmed and I’ve been turning down some offers and also for the designer applications because the slots are full now.
“CanCare is an event created to celebrate life and to give back to children living with cancer. We raise the funds through fashion and musical shows,” said DeBeer.
Cancare was launched on the 16th of July in 2016.
