Female ministers, hope for Zimbabwean women

Following the appointment of female ministers by President Emmerson Mnangagwa in his cabinet, most women in Zimbabwe felt so honoured at the same time encouraged and empowered.

Most women were so happy that for the first time, the Ministry of Defence and War Veterans and that of Youth, Sports, Arts and Recreation are now headed by Oppah  MuchingurI Kashiri and Kirsty Coventry respectively .

Recently Sekai Nzenza was appointed to the Ministry of public services and social welfare announced a new policy to the Zimbabwean women over the issue of maternity leave which will be possible during their first year of employment.

Meanwhile Minister Kirsty Coventry urged young women who are in sports to fight corruption in all their crafts she said her ministry will be taking action and be more inspirational for many women.

Minister Sithembiso Nyoni reviewed about the current established women’s bank that the significant hindrance to women’s potential to achieve their greatness has been financial exclusion which the new dispensation has given priority to redress through the establishment of the women microfinance bank which will help women.
