Four army generals retired

Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) today has announced the redeployment of the four senior military officers by His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa to Diplomatic Service.

In a press statement, Presidential Chief Secretary and Cabinet to the President, Dr Misheck J M Sibanda today announced the redeployment of senior military officers to the Diplomatic Service in line with government’s critical global engagement and re-engagement strategy.

Sibanda said the officers are set to join the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade pending finalisation of diplomatic consultations.

The redeployed military officers are : Major General Martin Chedondo,Major General Douglas Nyikayaramba,Major General Anselem N Sanyatwe and Air Vice Marshal Shebba Shumbayawonda.

Sibanda said government will release accreditation details for each of the four senior officers once various bilateral consultations are concluded.

Mnangagwa and Commander in Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces appreciate the four for serving their country with honour and dedication in the Defence Forces and wish them successful careers in the Diplomatic Service.
