The Minister of Health and Child Care honourable Obiadiah Moyo has officially opened The 8th edition Zim- Afro Medical and Health Expo 2018 been held at the Harare International Conference Centre today. The conference started yesterday and was running under sub themes of Innovative Regulatory Models, Safe Practise and quality, Medical and health education.
Speaking at the conference the minister said: “My ministry highly commends Zim-Afro’s efforts for creating a platform that brings together leading medical suppliers, distributors, professionals, health service providers and related stakeholders to exhibit their products and services.”
“The Expo presents an informative and engaging platform for delegates to learn and exchange innovative ideas and discuss key issues that affect the Health sector. We also acknowledge the commitment demonstrated by our regulatory councils who have taken bold steps in supporting and participating at this year’s Expo.”
“Professional standards often supplement regulatory standards, or they can be alternative to statutory regulatory body exists. I urge all councils to attend this conference every year and discuss these issues and map innovative ideas for our health sector which does not compromise standards and patient safety.”
“Our government remains committed to creating enabling environment for work and participation of all stakeholders as evidenced by our support for the private sector players and particular our support for Zim-Afro.”
The minister took time to move around all the stands and exhibit what the participating candidates for the Zim-Afro Conference.
Zim-Afro Medical & Health Fair is an annual event which is organised by Zim-Afro with the support and partnership with the Health Advisor`s Office in the Office of the President and Cabinet. The Event is Zimbabwe’s Premier Medical and Health Trade Show event. The Exhibition & Conference platforms presents marketing, Educational, networking & corporate branding opportunities with an amplified awareness for your products and services to attending delegates in the medical and healthcare sector and some stakeholders from related sectors & the public who will visit the Expo.
