President Emmerson Mnangagwa has dismissed Hon.Joram Gumbo from his duties as the Minister of Energy and Power Development after failure of delivering his services.
In a statement Mnangagwa relived Gumbo from his services as the Minister of Energy and Power Development after his failings of fixing the fuel challenges in the country and appointed Fortune Chasi as the Minister of Energy and Power Development.
“Hon Joram Gumbo has been appointed Minister of State Affairs in charge for implementation and Monitoring. Hon Fortune Chasi, currently Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, has been appointed Minister of Energy and Power Development.”
Hon Gumbo has been dismissed from his duties being inadequate by giving Zimbabweans false hopes that they is fuel to last Zimbabwe for a month while Zimbabwe fuel situation is worsening.
“I want to assure the nation that there is commitment from the Government to make sure that there is no time that the nation will ever ground to a halt because of fuel shortages .We keep on doing our best to make sure that there is adequate fuel in the country, ”said Gumbo.
Zimbabwe has been has been facing fuel challenges leaving motorist day and night waiting for fuel.
