Lecturer ‘purged’ for challenging ED competency

A lecturer from the Harare Polytechnic College has been suspended for what the college administration cited as misconduct after he was caught expressing his opinion on the President’s performance record.

Amos Dauzen is now at risk of being sacked after his statement in which he claimed President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has so much underperformed and mismanaged the leadership so much that it is reason wny civil servants are now impoverished.

This has been revealed by the Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) who will be representing Dauzen in the matter as litigation against the higher education institution will be instituted.

At Harare Polytechnic College, authorities have suspended Amos Dauzeni, a lecturer, after he was accused of misconduct for allegedly denigrating President Mnangagwa by stating that he had mismanaged the country’s economy resulting in the payment of poor salaries to government workers. ” the statement read.
