The President of Zimbabwe Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa met with leaders of churches in Zimbabwe today at the Harare International Conference Centre.
He encouraged church leaders to preach peace, unity and tolerance to all their respective congregates, and emphasized the need for preachers to preach forgiveness.
The President went on to promise the church leaders that he was going to look into the cases of churches that had their land taken during the land reform process, furthermore promising churches to get free land for development.
He alluded that the Zimbabwean government is a Christian government and that all the reforms that had been made in the new curriculum that are contrary to Christian values are to be removed.
Present at the meeting were Vice President of Zimbabwe Retired General C.G.D.N Chiwenga , Prophet W. Magaya, Apostle A. Wutawunashe, Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi and many other church leaders .
Entertainment came from various groups that included Mbungo, Vabvuwi and the Police Band.
