BUSINESSMAN James Makamba who has revealed that he fled Zimbabwe in 2005 because he feared then President Robert Mugabe who suspected that he was conducting an adulterous affair with former first lady Grace has been removed from remand.
Harare magistrate Hosea Mujaya has said that the State will proceed by way of summons.
Makamba was facing charges of externalisation of funds and trading in forex without a licence.
Makamba appeared in court today seeking cancellation of a warrant of arrest issued soon after he skipped the country 13 years ago.
The controversial businessman returned to Zimbabwe in December last year following a coup which deposed Mugabe.
Makamba also told court that he came back because Mugabe was no longer the president.
