South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema confronted Southern African Development Community (SADC) and African Union (AU) calling them “old leaders protecting each other”.
Addressing Journalists at the late former President Robert Mugabe’s Blue Roof , Malema said SADC is a gentlemen club which did not think of its people.
“There is no such a thing, SADC there is no such a thing, AU there is no such a thing. It’s a group of old people who protect each other, they don’t protect the interest of their black people. It’s a club, it’s a gentlemen club they don’t care, and they don’t call each other out. They are unable to say you are wrong here, you are wrong there,” Malema said
Malema further encouraged African youth to participate into politics in order to challenge the SADC and AU leadership.
“The way forward is that the youth must take politics serious, the youth must lead because most young people have left politics into the hands of old people. So we, the youth must stop suffering from political archive and put the future into our own hands, that’s how this structures are going to function,” He added.
EFF leader yesterday visited Mugabe family at the Blue Roof mansion to pay his respects. Economic Freedom Fighters confirmed the visit on their twitter page.
“The EFF leadership, led by CIC @Julius-S-Malema also had lunch with Mugabe family on their visit to pay respects and pass condolences. We reiterate our heartfelt and revolutionary condolences on the passing of our Hero and Pan-Africanist Robert Mugabe. #EFFAtBlueRoof #Gushungu,”
