A 50-year-old man has been nabbed for allegedly misrepresenting that he was in the business of supplying travel air tickets before duping more than $16 000 from an unsuspecting customer.
Akil Musa Yusuf was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Victoria Mashamba charged with fraud.
The matter was remanded to today for bail application.
Allegations are that Yusuf misrepresented that he was in the business of issuing travel air tickets and was given $24 000 for first class air tickets.
The State alleges that he did not supply the 10 tickets required but supplied three thereby defrauding the complainant of seven tickets valued at $16 800.
Linda Gadzikwa represented the State.
