MDC Alliance officials missing

Movement for Democratic Change (MDC Alliance) led by Nelson Chamisa has held a press conference today were they revealed that some of its top officials and members have been arrested and some are just unaccounted for.

The press conferences was held at the Party’s headquarters in Harare and was been chaired by the Dr Nkululeko Sibanda who is Chamisa’s spokesperson.

Sibanda mentioned that some of the MDC Alliance members and top officials were not been accounted for and thereby there could not release the names of those who are in hiding or who have been alleged to have been kidnapped.

He also went on to say that:

“We do know that Nelson Chamisa won this election.”

“Chamisa is not seeking to overturn the election.

“The current situation in the country is such that declared result cannot be challenged.”

“Chamisa is encouraging everyone that they rights should be respected and no one must deny anyone the right to demonstrate.”

“We are going to issue a statement tomorrow with details of when we will go to court.”

“The data that has been produced by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission is incoherent.”
