Miss Tourism Harare search has ended following an event that was held at New Ambassador Hotel last Saturd
The blissful event had nine contenders from Harare Metropolitan province and the winner is scheduled to contest at the Miss Tourism Zimbabwe to be held in September.
Out of the nine, Panashe Peterson who, 21, became the Queen for Harare followed by Maita kudzaiishe Kainga who became the first princess and Nelia Marisa the second princess.
In an interview with Panashe Peterson she said:
“The competition was challenging but I am glad to have made it and looking forward to the finals to be held in September.”
“Miss Tourism competitions have taught me a lot especially about my country.”
Kudzai Chantel Chivinge, 23, Natalie Mangondo, 21, and Pauline Marere, 24, from Mashonaland central, Mashonaland east and Mashonaland west respectively were crowned queens and will also peform at the Miss Tourism Finals.
Chido Mitchell Nyika was selected the People’s Choice for Harare Province while Eustas Gomba and Tracy Mharadze were selected on the Most Talented category.
Some provinces like Bulawayo are still in the process of searching for their finalist to compete in September for the 2018 Miss Tourism competitions.
This year’s competitions are running under the theme “Promoting domestic tourism”.
When the search for Miss Tourism Harare started there were sixty contenders but only three managed to make it to the finals.
