President Emmerson Mnangagwa has called upon the Chitungwiza Mayor Lovemore Maiko to his office to discuss about the grievances Chitungwiza residents are facing.
At a press conference Mnangagwa said he had a grievance from Chitungwiza residents who were receiving water twice a week and invited MDC mayor Lovemore Maiko to his office so they can have talks and a way forward in solving the grievances of the residents.
“The Hon Mayor gave me a grievance saying that the town was facing water challenges were the residents would get water twice a week. I am inviting the Chitungwiza Mayor since he did not invite me to his office to discuss the challenges that citizens are facing,” said Mnangagwa.
ED said the Chitungwiza Mayor should not be silent or ignorant about the challenges his constituency is facing and by informing him it would help him know what the Government could assist him with or they cannot afford to assist him.
“Don’t just keep quiet when the country is facing difficulties speak up so we can find a way forward,”said Mnangagwa.
Chitungwiza residents have been facing water challenges and when they receive water it is dirty.
