The uncle to the late Hon Vimbai Tsvangirai Java, Isaac Mhundwa blames poverty to the booing of Parliamentary Speaker,ZANU-PF representative Jacob Mudenda at Vimbai Tsvangirai Java funeral.
Giving a farewell speech at Hon.Tsvangirai Java funeral, Mhundwa has implored to government to solve the economic crisis in the country.
“The reason why people are acting this way its because of hunger, as of yesterday fuel prices went up. Incidentally we are not politicians we are the uncles to the late Vimbai.Therefore,we have the opportunity to speak in front of this leadership,” said Mhundwa.
“We are not challenging the authority instead we are sincerely asking Mudenda to go and plead on behalf of us to President Mnangagwa and his Government that people are not happy with the status quo, “ uncle said
Hon.Mudenda was booed by the chanting of MDC-A fanatics when he mentioned the name of President Emmerson Mnangagwa in his speech. The President of MDC Nelson Chamisa then came to his rescue as he urged MDC-A followers to stop booing at Adv Mudenda as MDC-A party was respectful to its elders.
Mhundwa expressed his sorrow as he urged the political parties to go into talks and unify as Hon.Vimbai Tsvangirai Java mother Susan Tsvangirai had died on her way to a party celebrating the unification of MDC and ZANU-PF.
“But again if we reflect back her mother died in accident going to celebrate the unification of the nation …don’t you think is opportunital time were we should actually take a route that was taken by her mother when her mother passed on,” he added.
Mhundwa said it was a difficult time for them as a family as they lost Vimbai Tsvangirai Java who had mate her fate the same way her mother Susan Tsvangirai and uncle Takudzwa Mhundwa.
