Mukupe dragged to court over school fees arrears

Finance deputy minister Terence Mukupe has been taken to court over US$30 000 school fees arrears.
Harare International School filed summons at the High Court on 18 June 2018 and Mukupe has not yet responded to the lawsuit.
According to the court papers, the school claims Mukupe has defaulted paying school fees for his two children since last year in August.
Defendant (Terrence Mukupe) is the parent and natural guardian of two minor children. As per the educational services offered to defendant’s children, plaintiff charged tuition and levy for the same.
The customer ledger for defendant shows that defendant owes plaintiff a total of US$29 948 for the services rendered to defendant’s children. The period for the amount above is August 2017 to April 2018.
The above amount is still owing and accruing interest.”
