Ex Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Prisca Mupfumira made a fresh bail application at the Harare Magistrate courts .Harare Magistrate Mr Elijah Makomo remanded Mupfumira for ruling on her applications today.
Mupfumira who is now illegible to apply for a new bail since had past the 21 day period of detention, made a new application last week in which she cited that Former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare Ngoni Masoka who is facing similar charges is out on bail. Trying to convey a message that she has the same right.
The prosecutor however opposed claiming that she had lied to the police who had intended to arrest her in the first place when she was apprehended.
Mupfumira is facing seven counts of criminal abuse of office involving US$95 million
