FORMER Foreign Affairs minister Walter Mzembi and erstwhile Energy and Power Development ministers Samuel Undenge today appeared at Harare magistrate court for routine remand.
Through their lawyers, Job Sikhala and Alec Muchadehama, respectively, the pair has put the State on notice that they will make applications for their clients on the next remand date. Muchadehama submitted that he will make an application for relaxation of bail conditions and Sikhala indicated that he will apply for refusal of further remand. The pair faces charges of abuse of office as public officers during their days in government.
Harare magistrate Rumbidzai Mugwagwa remanded the two to February 27. Mzembi was granted $400 bail, while Undenge was also admitted to $300 bail.
