Post-election killings: fingers on Chamisa

“I see the effort to nail the innocent exonerating the guilty, a play to weaken and eliminate MDC and faces in the democratic alternative, soon you will see vindictive arrests, hired witnesses making stories and victimise “reads Chamisa’s tweet.

All testimonies that were given before the commission of inquiry are pointing fingers on Nelson Chamisa and his party the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC)  with claims by the Zimbabwe republic police commissioner Godwin Matanga that Chamisa will be arrested anytime for August 1 incident and for inciting his supporters to protest.

Meanwhile addressing the media this afternoon Chamisa said that all the testimonies given are from a written script as testimonies from citizen are not mentioning his name than those from state officials however he proclaimed that he is ready for anything that might come the party’s way.

Our late president Morgan Tsvangirai was arrested multiple times so there is nothing new in being arrested and we are waiting for any outcome and continue standing by the party,”said Chamisa.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police said that they are still clueless to the identity of people who shot the unarmed civilians in the post-election violence on August 1.

Witness before the commission of inquiry Gabriel Chaibva gave the commission a history of intra –party violence in the MDC that there was a training of militant group to overthrow the government but he was once a member of the mdc alliance but left the party after losing a primary election

Meanwhile the ZDF also mentioned Chamisa’s name in the August killing claiming that he is behind the violent incident as ZDF chief general Valerio Sibanda gave is testimony before the commission inquiry.

MDC leaders insisted that they will not attend to the commission of inquiry as they were issued letters from the commission of inquiry until President Mnangagwa and his Vice Presidents for testifying before the commission of inquiry and MDC has no role to play.

The president is the one responsible for answering who deployed the military members and ordered them to shoot the unarmed civilians, “said the Secretary General of MDC Alliance Mr Mwonzora .
