Votes are being counted in South Africa’s 2019 elections in Pretoria, with President Cyril Ramaphosa of the African National Congress (ANC) party leading in most Provinces.
With results declared in some Provinces ANC is on top followed by Mmusi Maimane of the opposition Democratic Alliance (DA) then the radical Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) of Julius Malema.
According to South African Government News agency, the capturing of results stands at 80 percent as of today and 13 million votes have been cast.
In Eastern Cape province ANC is on top with 1228 299 followed by DA with 286 138 then EFF 139 232.
In Guateng Province Ramaphosa has 1 120 425 votes, DA got 607 140 and EFF 313 685
In KwaZulu-Natal province ANC leads with 1 106 282 followed by IFP with 353 518 votes then DA with 317 956 votes.
In Mpumalanga ANC is leading with 739 211, EFF is on second in this province with 137 258 votes then DA 105 081.
Northern Cape, Ramaphosa is on top again with 222 790 votes followed by DA and EFF.
South Africa has nine Provinces which are L Limpopo, Guateng,Free State, Northern Cape, Eastern Cape,KwaZulu-Natal, Northern West and Mpumalanga.
Final results of South Africa are expected by tomorrow.
President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to visit Results Operation Centre in Pretoria where political party representatives, official observer missions and media are camping for the past few days.
