Famed Swazi gospel producer and songwriter Sipho Makhabane is in a critical but stable condition after being involved in a car accident on Sunday.
Makhabane is the owner of Big Fish music and is credited with discovering some of South Africa’s leading gospel stars such as Hlengiwe Mhlaba and Tshepiso Motaung. Sipho, who is multi award celebrated and with nearly two dozens of albums under his name and label has been once quoted admitting he feels like home performing in Zimbabwe where he enjoyed the biggest following of his music.
A source close to Makhabane revealed that he was involved in a head-on collision in Middelburg on his way back from Swaziland. He sustained head injuries and was admitted to Middelburg Hospital.
