Tadious Matsito, on of Zimbabwe’s famed musical talent that remains a hit to date has lost his ten year old son today. Matsito who went through a leg amputation in South Africa in 2016 has also suffered a secondary stroke that has left him needing speech therapy and a handicap to his left arm and shoulder.
Speaking to his nephew only identified at Collen, Matsito handed the torch of the Ngwenya Brothers to his son, 16yr old Tedious Muchapedza Matsito (Jnr.). Alick Macheso has lately been mentoring the young Matsito
Collen further lamented piracy on the Zimbabwean music scene, leading to great artists as the Ngwenya Brothers living a pauper life while fraudsters are reaping the benefits of their hardwork.
“We hear Ngwenya Brothers music is selling well on the internet yet we dont know who is selling it and we are not receiving anything from it. Its very painful especially when the artist is in such great need. We have had to rely on our supporters charitable hearts and the shows we pick on the way”, Collen lamented.
Tedious’ late son who was in Grade Three’s death has come as a heavy blow to the family as the Gede Mwana hitmaker was looking so much on the mend.
