Turkey to help Ministry of Health and Child care

The ambassador of Turkey to Zimbabwe, Hakan Kivanc has made a curtesy call to the Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr David Parirenyatwa at his Kaguvi Offices today.

The two discussed on various issues including Turkey medical teachers coming to Zimbabwe to train Zimbabwean doctors after revealing that Turkey intends to help the ministry.

After the meeting, Dr Parirenyatwa confirmed that doctors are still on strike although he mentioned that he was not sure of the current situation today.

He also said that efforts are being made to restore the situation back to normal.

Dr Parirenyatwa also mentioned about drug abuse by the youths and revealed that there has been a rise on the number of reported cases of cocaine, marijuana, broncleer  to mention but a few.

He urged parents and guardians to continuously monitor the behaviour of their children and also revealed that the ministry will do outreaches to warn people against drug abuse.
