United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has come up with a plan of helping children who were affected by Cyclone Idai in Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe.
In a statement UNICEF said the children were the most affected by the storm and this had disturbed their way of living and were fighting against the spread of Cholera by providing sanitation in the process.
“It is heart breaking to see the destruction and what it means for our children. We are here, present and committed day and night, to make sure that children have shelter, clean water and access to health, we are fighting cholera and stopping the spread of disease. Nothing stopping us,”
UNICEF said Children needed a secure place to recover from the distress which had occurred in March.
“Children need a safe place to stay and support to recover from the trauma they have endured. Temporary classrooms are providing a way for them to return to school and begin to hope for a future,”
