The multi-award winning Zimdancehall musician Wallace Chirumiko popularly known as Winky Dee has released a musical video today for the track “mugarden”.
The video features the musician Gemma Griffiths and fans are responding well to it and have reached more than 8.8K views on YouTube in just few hours after the release. He released a hitsong titled “Kasong Kejecha” late last year , a saying that is mostly used by the MDC-A leader Nelson Chamisa and was said to be politically related.
Gemma Griffiths was born in South Africa but grew up in Harare, Zimbabwe. In 2016 she performed at the Zimbabwe’s Achievers Awards in London, U.K. She also interpreted Winky Dee’s “musarova Bigman” that same year and it scooped more than 94K views on you tube.
Winky D was born in Kambuzuma, Harare the capital of Zimbabwe and is known as the Dancehall Igwe. He is often considered to be the Zimdancehall pioneer. He was among the artists who featured in the Southern Africa Music Airwaves (SAMA) Festival 2009.
