Woman drags ex-son in-law to court

A Harare woman has hauled her ex-son in-law to Harare Civil Court claiming $300 for the upkeep of a 13 year old girl.

Ednah Jackson accused her ex-son in-law Mungedzanwa for neglecting his child since birth.

“Your worship, the child in question is my daughters child who is married in South Africa.This man hasn’t been assisting me since day one, I  have been paying school fees alone .I’m not employed, I’m in buying and selling realising $180 per month,” Jackson said.

In response, Mungedzanwa said he cannot offer anything be he is unemployed and as of now he is being looked after by his two children who are staying in the United Kingdom.

I cannot offer anything, I’m being looked after by my children, They send 50 USD through Mukuru,” said Mungedzanwa.

Delivering her ruling, presiding magistrate Tafadzwa Mhiti ordered Mungedzanwa to bring the documents of Mukuru.
