ZANU PF’s legal team files response at Constitutional Court

ZANU PF’s legal team has filed its response at the Constitutional Court today following the election result challenge that was filed by Chamisa’s lawyers on Friday afternoon.

The court petition that was filed by Chamisa’s lawyers was challenging the results that were announced by ZEC as they argued that the announced results where manipulated in favour of the President Elect Emmerson Mnangagwa of ZANU Pf.

Paul Mangwana the party’s spokesperson had this to say.

“The petition has no merits; it has no foundation at law.”

“Elections are not won in court but there in the ballot box.”

“There have not even asked for the ballot boxes to be opened and to be counted.”

“It is based on some theoretical calculations.”

Chalton Hwende a Member of Parliament for Kuwadzana East Constituency had this to comment on his twitter handle.

“Now that Zanu-PF has filed their papers responding to our Petition we now urge our members to now leave the esteemed judges to do their work.”

“We can see an attempt by Zanu-PF activists to try and intimidate the judiciary the Courts must remain independent and do their work.”
