Zim songstress Queen Mashie woes the world in Brussels

Zimbabwean songstress and mbira maestro Tatenda Sandra Mashiringo, stage named Queen Mashie and sister to the late legendary Andy Brown has made her maiden Brussels acoustic performance on Friday night captivating the attention and emotions of the crowd who though could not comprehend the language but streamed with the music.

Cladding her tradition instrument, the mbira and pitching her voice like the authentic African Ring-necked dove, she created a musical interlude that made a clear and proud statement of hr heritage. While majority of Zimbabweans who tour international destinations targeting the Zimbabwean crowds, Queen Mashie has indeed shown how much a royal she is and a true ambassador selling Zimbabwe to a greater world.

Unsurprising, as someone mentored by the late Andy Brown and Chiwoniso Maraire who themselves cemented their legacy in their time, she surely is the next big name to represent Zimbabwean arts and culture.
