Anti-sanction march: Government asks farmers to donate fuel

Government through the Ministry of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing has asked Chipinge farmers to donate fuel for the anti-sanction march to be held on Friday the 25th this month.

In a statement, Chipinge District Administrator said as the District Fundraising Sub-Committee they have been assigned to raise money for vehicles to transport Chipinge residents to Harare.

“The Southern Africa Development Committee (SADC) has set aside Friday the 25th of October as a solidarity day against sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe by the West. Various activities have been lined across the SADC region as member states unite in support of Zimbabwe as lobbying to end the illegal sanctions gathers momentum,”

“In a view of the above, we have been assigned, as the District Fundraising Sub- Committee to mobilize diesel for vehicles to ferry members of Chipinge community to the historical event. We thus write to request for your support in providing the Committee with diesel to fuel vehicles that will transport people to the event,”

“We greatly value your usual support and contribution to district events and program,”
