Billiat in international spotlight

Zimbabwe Warriors and Kaizer Cchiefs striker Khama Billiat has drawn huge interest from Egypt, France and Belgium.

The Kaizer Chiefs striker who was man of the match for his performance against Uganda on Wednesday has been on the radar from European clubs and Egypt. The 29-year old Zimbabwe international player underlined his growing status when he was named the best player in the AFCON 2019.

In a memorable season, on 21 July 2012, in a friendly encounter during the off season, Ajax Cape Town held the visiting Manchester United to a 1-1 draw in which Khama Billiat received high praise from Manchester defender Rio Ferdinand. Rio labelled the young attacking midfielder as an agile and exciting player to watch, with great speed and ball control.

However his only chances of making it to Europe is that his current team releases him on not.

The Warriors player said he wanted to make full use of the opportunity presented by playing at this year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to get a club abroad.
