Former President Mugabe to be buried at Nat Heroes Acre

The nephew to the late Former President Robert Mugabe and family Spokesperson Leo Mugabe has announced that the family has agreed to bury the political heavy weight at the national monument for liberal heroes in the capital.

Addressing the media Mugabe said the gallant son of the soil will be buried at the National Heroes Acre. Mugabe said the family and the traditional leaders had asked for time to have a private burial service for Cde Mugabe.

“Yes I can confirm that the family has pronounced he will be buried at the National Hero’s Acre. All they said is that they wanted a private burial which they are still sticking on to. On Sunday will have a normal government function which normally happens at the Hero’s Acre but we will not do the actual burial,”

“Traditional leaders and family have asked for some works to be done at the national Hero’s Acre. It will take a bit of time, as much as a week,”

Of late the death of the Former President has brought controversy in the country as political elites suggested that he be buried at the national monument. The Gushungo family was against the wishes of the Government as they said the political heavy weight last was that he wanted to be buried at his homestead in Kutama next to his mother.

Cde Mugabe passed on in Singapore where he was receiving medical treatment.
