The Movement for Democratic Change Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa has called upon national healing in Zimbabwe as the country celebrates the life of an icon Dr Dumiso Dabengwa.
Posting on his twitter handle the vigorous young leader said Zimbabwe was divided and there was need for talks so as to foster unity within the different ethnic groups in Zimbabwe.
“Listening to the speeches at DD’s memorial reminds me that Zimbabwe faces a huge challenge demanding nation healing. The people are wounded and in pain. National healing, apology and restoration a must!,” said Chamisa.
Chamisa said he was extremely disappointed on how ZANU-PF political leaders refused to recognize Dr Dabengwa as a hero of the nation because he had retired from ZANU-PF.
“Some MP’s refusal to honour Cde DD in parly yesterday sends signal of a country in turmoil….We must love, unite, heal and build”
MDC-A President has called upon all Zimbabweans to unite and get into talks and forget about the Gukurahundi.
