Chamisa hits back at Court’s judgement

Movement for Democratic Change (MDC-A) President Nelson Chamisa yesterday said law and politics cannot stop the party to pursue a democratic Change in Zimbabwe.

Chamisa was responding  to  the High Court’s judgement that he is not the legitimate President of the party. The court then instructed the party to hold a special Congress with a month to appoint a new leader after the death the former MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai.

“Neither politics nor law are frozen in time. Both are fluid and their fluidity is driven and shaped by the people’s aspirations in their quest for the change that delivers. The change sought by the historic 2,6 million votes can be delayed, but it will not be derailed or reversed,” Chamisa said.

MDC is set to hold its Congress on 24 to 25 May.Chamisa has been nominated in all provinces and now waits to be confirmed by the National Congress to be held in Gweru.
