Chamisa responds to health workers dismissal

Movement for Democratic Change Alliance President Adv. Nelson Chamisa has blasted the Mnangagwa regime for illegally dismissing doctors from their duties. Chamisa said the action took by the government mirrored how incompetent they are.

The Maverick Chamisa said the Mnangagwa government should have got into a dialogue with the health professionals and capacitance them.

It surprises me that the Mnangagwa regime would fire medical doctors instead of paying them a living wage. These are fruits of illegitimacy. There is a silent genocide taking place in Zimbabwe as our hospitals have been shut down for 2 months now. Pay doctors a living wage,” said Advocate Chamisa.

77 doctors have been dismissed from their duties by the government for failing to report for their duties.

77 of the 80 doctors found guilty of absenting themselves from duty without leave or reasonable cause for days ranging five or more and discharged from the health service,” he added.

Health professionals have took the streets and demonstrated against incapacitation.
