The Zimbabwe Republic Police has released a statement confirming its contact with the late Tapiwa Makore’s family over the positive DNA results that came out confirming his matching remaining body parts.
In a Press statement, the police said the DNA results for the jaw, tooth and limp found were a complete match to the seven year old’s ,”torso’‘.
According to the statement, the DNA test results were done by AIBST DNA testing centre and the National University of Science and Technology(NUST).
ZRP Spokesperson ,Assistant Commisioner Paul Nyathi assured the public of more details concerning the case when trial begins based on the latest results.
Seven year old Makore was murdered for alleged ritual purposes in 2020 and investigators could not provide immediate details as some body parts were yet to be discovered until the DNA results came out on Wednesday.
