A Harare woman has dragged her estranged husband to Harare Civil Court for spousal and child mantainance claiming he disturbed her studies.

Brenda Mavhunga claimed $350 for the upkeep of her child and herself. Mavhunga claimed that Artwell Chandiwana had promised to take care of her and child as he had interrupted her studies as a student.

“I am claiming spousal mantainace and my child as he has disrupted my studies as he impregnated me. He promised to take care of all my necessities. He also own taxis. When we used to stay together he used to send me money through his brothers eco cash account by the name Nelson Chandiwana,” said Chandiwana.

Chandiwana dismissed the claims that he did not own any taxis. He also receives his earnings through an Eco cash account because it had frozen after he had lost his National Identity.
