Machete wars claims life

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has confirmed that the machete and axe rampage that happened between fifty artisanal miners claimed a life.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has posted on their twitter handle to confirm the news.

“Fifty artisanal miners armed with machetes and axes went on a rampage, attacking other miners. Two male adults were severely assaulted and they sustained serious injuries. One resultantly died upon admission at Inyathi Hospital.”

These artisanal miners who are accused of killing one of their own are said to still be on the run the ZimOnline News has learnt.

These artisanal miners popularly known as mashurugwi are known for their violent nature. A few days ago there was another violent rampage in Norton at the Katanga shopping center.

Recently there have been cases that not only are these artisan miners fighting against each other but the ordinary citizens have fallen prey of their violent actions and have also led to many deaths and destruction of property.
