Masarira criticises Obert Gutu for harassing women

Former spokesperson of Thokozani Khupe, Linda Masarira has criticised MDC-T Vice President Obert Gutu for derogatory statements towards women on twitter.

Gutu yesterday told an entrepreneur and prominent political commentator Mirriam Mutizwa on twitter that she is ugly.

Posting on her twitter handle Masarira said most of Zimbabwean male leaders want to compete and attack women’s facial looks.

“I do not support discrimination, defamation, any form of undermining women, marginalisation, derogatory statements towards women on their looks and victimisation. Male leaders in Zimbabwe seem to be in competition to attack women’s facial looks. If leaders are masters of sexism, misogyny and defamation of character. I have heard at @nelsonchamisa demeaning women several times, yesterday @gutuobert joined the bandwagon of social media women abusers yesterday and unfortunately…,” said Masarira.
