MDC says it will not join the anti-sanctions march

Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) party said it will not partake in the anti-sanctions march to be held this month.

In a tweet the party’s spokesperson Fortune Daniel Molokele said the crisis in Zimbabwe is a result of failure political leadership not sanctions.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the MDC will NOT be participating in the so called March Against Sanctions on Friday .The MDC believes that it is the failure of political leadership that is at the epicentre of the never ending crisis in Zimbabwe,” said Molokele.

SADC has promised to back Zimbabwe in the anti- sanctions march, to be held on the 25th of October 2019. October 25 has been declared a public holiday to allow people from different places to attend the event.

ZUPCO and NRZ yesterday indicated that they are ready to ferry people who want to take part in the main anti sanctions march.
