MDC to stage another protest

Movement for Democratic Change – Alliance (MDC) led by Advocate Nelson Chamisa has scheduled a protest for Wednesday 11 of July to be held in Harare.

The protest is against Zimbabwe Electoral Commission’s (ZEC) alleged failure to provide the MDC with a complete Biometric Voters Roll and transparency on the ballot paper printing process.

The convener for the protest will be the Secretary General for the part Douglas Mwonzora

The protest has been brought to the media attention by the letter that has been speculating on the social media with the MDC logo and header.

This protest follows after the one that was held on the 5th of June which was against the same Zimbabwe Electoral Commission auditing of Bio Metric Registration, demilitarisation of ZEC, the demilitarisation of villages and access to public media.

Some of the issues that were raised on that were partly answered as seen by the access of different political parties broadcasting their manifestos live on the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Commission Television.

However the protest against ZEC has been fruitless as the MDC blames the Commission for not providing a complete Biometric Voters Roll.

Attempts to get comments from the party’s spokesperson Dr Nkululeko Sibanda were fruitless as his phone was out of reach.
