Mwonzora Law Firm to be evicted over rent issues

MDC-T President Douglas Mwonzora’s law firm is facing eviction due to its failure to pay their rentals at MDC stalwart Theresa Makone’s premises in Westgate.

Mwonzora and Associates were renting a house at Number 1307 Fern Crescent Westgate, Harare and they are owing Makore a debt of USD $1 500.

Makone went to court to try and evict Mwonzora after they failed to settle her debt of USD $1 500 following an agreement that the rental payable per month would be US$350.

Mwonzora was once given a notice to vacate the premises and it expired on October 31 2020 but he remained in occupation of the property thereby going against the law.

Ms Theresa Makone said she wants an order incase Mr Mwonzora fails to comply with the court order to vacate the premises like what he once did.

“The Sheriff for Zimbabwe should be ordered to evict the law firm, its manpower and machinery and all those claiming occupation through.” said Makone
