Musician Nyasha David Dengwani — popularly known as Nyasha David is set to launch his Extended Playlist (EP) titled Advocate of Love at Theatre Alliance Francaise tomorrow, in an event expected to be graced by the Youth, Arts, Sports and Recreation ministry alongside National Arts Council of Zimbabwe officials.
The RnB and neo-soul singer told NewsDay Life & Style that the EP, produced by Hughclaid Kalino, Gabriel Morgan and Boss Gidza, has five original tracks and two bonus tracks.
“The EP is about love. l am an advocate of love, so l am trying to inspire love the way it should be, not the way we have made it to be. So, I am advocating for the love that we should be giving to each other; that special intimacy kind of love other than what we have made it be,” he said.
“Personally I think Bryan Kadengu has one of the finest Voices in Zimbabwe, and I’m so happy that he is going to be gracing the stage this Saturday at the Launch.“
“People should embrace love and not trade it with material things. They should let it flow on its own and experience the goodness which comes from it.”
The EP carries songs Moyo Muti, Zvakarongwa featuring Trevor Dongo, Die in Your Arms featuring Prosper and Silent Nqo, Chinosiya Maoko, Perfect Reasons and bonus tracks Toasting and Newe Follow Me.
David started recording after he ventured into Dreamstar Zimbabwe talent search ahow and was the third runner-up in 2015, after which he was signed up by the organisers, JCMC Studio.
Nyasha is known for his single Moyo Muti, which was released last year and Newe, released in February this year. Admission tickets are going for ZWL$50.
