Former spokesperson of Thokozani Khupe,Linda Masarira has urged President Emmerson Mnangagwa and the opposition leader Nelson Chamisa to put their differences aside and work together to unite the nation.
Masarira said Mnangagwa and Chamisa must follow the footsteps of Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta and the opposition leader Raila Odinga.
The two agreed to work together to heal the country’s divisions last year after the opposition leader had disputed election results in 2017.
“If @RailaOdinga and President Uhuru did it for Kenyas why can’t @edmnangagwa and @nelsonchamisa do it for Zimbabwe? If your leadership is meant to serve Zimbabweans and save Zimbabwe it is time you put your differences and rivalry aside for the sake of suffering….”Masarira said.
“…Zimbabweans.@RailaOlinga and President Kenyatta ddnt see eye to eye since the disputed August 8, 2017 presidential upto about March 2018.After a meeting last year, they decided to put aside their differences and work together to unite the nation.#TogetherWeCan,”She said.
Masarira also advised Chamisa to swallow his pride and move on for the benefits of Zimbabweans.
“Odinga who had declared himself the ‘peoplle’s president’ like our very own Chamisa, swallowed his pride and considered the plight of Kenyans. They agreed to ensure that victims of post-election violence were to be compensated and all charges to be dropped. If indeed @nelsonchamisa”said Masarira.
“Interest are for the benefit of Zimbabweans,it is time for him to deflate his inflated ego and do the right thing for all Zimbabweans including those rotting in jail for political crimes. @edmnangagwa government is here upto 2023 and surely there is no way he can usurp power,” she added
