Brenda Kazembe claimed $300 for their children’s welfare. She said as a hairdresser she cannot afford the children’s needs and the father has to step in and be a responsible father.
“I am a hairdresser, I would like Kanyama to be part of the children’s life and cater for their needs such as their school fees,”said Kazembe.
Langton Kanyama disputed with the claims saying he was taking care of his children and at the moment he is an employee at Harare City Council he had not received his salary since January. He also taking of care of the other child .
“I am a responsible father ,I take care of our children. One of our children is in my custody and the other issue is that she is not a responsible mother because she is always out going out of the country,”said Kanyama.
Presiding Magistrate Sheila Nazombe ordered Kanyama to deposit $150 into Kazembe account for the child she was staying with.
