A Harare woman has dragged her husband to court seeking an upward variation of $500 for their three children, citing economic challenges facing the country as the major reason.
Bridget Sixpence took James Tsingano to the Harare Civil Court where she claimed $500 for the upkeep of their three children aged 12,6 and 1 year 7 months.
Sixpence told the court that Tsigano is a self employed mechanic who earns roughly about $1000 per month and due to the inflation that has hit the rock in the country ,claims an upward variation to meet the children’s needs.
Tsingano offered $100 top up on the $120 already being paid and disputes claims of his earnings saying he earns $400 and has another family to take care of .
Harare presiding magistrate then ordered Tsingano to pay $300 per month.
