The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC-ZESA) has today announced that the load shedding will be above the publicised schedules.
According to its twitter handle ZESA said load shade is now on stage two because the Zimbabwe’s largest coal-fired power Hwange generator is not functioning well.
“Kindly note that generation at Hwange is depressed due to a technical fault. Load shedding is now on stage 2.Load shedding may be above the publicised schedules. We apologise for any inconveniences caused,”
ZESA last week had released schedule for various parts of the country which states that the load shedding will be within 0500-100 and 1700-2200 respectively, and however the duration may be longer in the event of increased power shortfall.
